Wow, great weekend. Shame about Friday meet being off. Looks like the aggressive element got going on the road past Houx Annex.
I stopped for a bit to eat in Gace on the way down and was pulled and breathalised on the way out of town! Ah, the joys of drinking coke. Never more happily complied with a request.
I have been in '05, '06 and this year. Definitely going slightly downhill. Campsite organisation was rubbish. Some people were taping off plots the size of Norfolk while others, who had bought tickets and arrived on the Thursday were turned away. You don't mind those who fill them but are pissed at those whose plots are still underpopulated on the Saturday. Measured plots will definitely be the way forward. I had to lie my way into Houx Annex Nord!
Tired now and looking forward to all the stories.

Got back an hour ago - great time, as always 
Camped in the 1st Tickets enclosure in Bleu Nord - fantastic job by them, just having easy access to toilets and showers was great, Eurosport feed was really handy, as were the guest speakers. We even got the biggest flag in Bleu Nord, which made late night navigation easier
Just a shame the long wait to LM 2009 has just started

Highlight - sitting by the Esses below Dunlop Bridge watching the Group C cars ... incredible sight and sound. Those Jaguars are something else.

spending a very pleasant Friday morning at the Classic British Welcome at St Saturnin then going to Arnage to have a relaxing lunch on the high street watching the cars go past.
Lowlights - nothing really, apart from a few dick heads on Houx road on the Friday and waking up to rain on Sunday morning when it had been so sunny up until then.

spending a very pleasant Friday morning at the Classic British Welcome at St Saturnin then going to Arnage to have a relaxing lunch on the high street watching the cars go past.
Lowlights - nothing really, apart from a few dick heads on Houx road on the Friday and waking up to rain on Sunday morning when it had been so sunny up until then.
Highlights - fantastic hooning the 2 days before the race in excellent french countryside, superb company and buffoonery in our group of 29 chaps, incredible skills of the drivers, sound of the Corvettes, amazing race between Audi/Peugeot, another cracking display of quality cars & creative stickering on the roads.
Lowlights - another year of noticeable increases in size/exclusivity of corporate hospitality village areas and in cheap tat stands with no relevance to the race (black leather jacket anyone?). Also lots more rude, loud, ignorant d**ks who seemed oblivious of the race and intent of pissing/puking as much as possible wherever possible. Real shame.

Getting to know our camping neighbours and the camaraderie between fellow enthusiasts.

Man, that's really bad... I wonder if it's just me but there seemed to be a shortage of exotica in the camping or in the car parks near the village (apart from the display cars). ing die!"sat night woke up to a bloke in a le coq sportif shell suit rezipping our tent - thought was just a drunkard who had got the wrong tent - turned out my mate for the weekend had left his ticket and cash in his jeans in the tent that night unfortunately and the little b'stard helped himself.
meant we couldnt hit the track on the sunday so we headed back early.
Agreed on the saturday night funfair and all the annoying little pr*cks who can barely stand ruining it for the true fans.
Overall was a great weekend though.

- pottering around the paddock on Saturday lunchtime getting up close to everything
- the weather on Tuesday, Wednesday, most of Friday and Saturday, and Monday
- Mulsanne corner at about 3am during the race - stunning
- Porsche Curves at any time
- the pit straight at about midnight
- Hooning down Mulsanne, hanging a hard right at the roundabout and thumping back up the straight to Indianapolis / Arnage and up to Porsche Curves on sunday night, hours after the finish
Lows
- certain people on the PH/WRR campsite who seem to think 2am on Sunday night is a good time for a very loud disco with a crap DJ
- getting pulled by Le Plod for a relatively minor velocity indiscretion after making a mistake at a junction
- realising that I really need a proper D-SLR. And lenses. And a press pass...

3 The whole amenities are improving each year, some way still to go though

Lowlights: 1.Car parks were a bit boring..where had all the exotica gone and parked? It was better at the Eurotunnel this afternoon!

Other highlights:
How great Houx Annexe Nord was, no complaints about the cleanliness of the facilities, nice food on site too.

ts.Using the red eye part of the camera flash to light the Marshal's jackets up red.
