Hi chaps,

quickie for those with knowledge of the M25 traffic please.

It looks like we'd hit the M1/M25 junction around 5:30pm tonight if we go that way, or we could go M1/A14/M11/M25 but that according to Google Maps is half an hour longer.

We're heading for Gravesend to stay with one of the guys tonight so these are our only real choices to get to the Dartford Crossing.

Can anyone advise me if the traffic clockwise from M1 to Dartford is worth trying to avoid by dropping down the M11 ?

road works and 50 mph cameras on the bottom of the M1 at the moment don't help but either way you go it'll be slow going. Done it a couple of times recently and have chosen M1 for simplicity both times. My vote would be for M1 but I apologise in advance if you take my advice and get stuck!!!

Go A14/M11 for sure, but the tail back at the bridge is a totally random affair and could be anyones guess, beware specs A14 is riddled with them as is the A2 approach to Gravesend.

preferred route would be A14 / M11 every time.
avoids the roadworks at Luton and minmises time on the M25,

As far as I know the specs are only from the A1 to the M11 on the A14.

Correct, although there are also a couple of fixed cameras in and around Kettering I think.
