Hello, fellow Le Manners. I've heard about a cafe you can go to that's by the Mulsanne straight. Allegedly when you're sat in there, the cars are flying by. Is this true, if so where can I find this caf?

Houndourais (sp) used to be able to watch feet away, but now there are big green canvas coverings to the fence so you can't see, but the sound is amazing.Won't get a table now as its all corporate but you can go for a beer, enter from the north through the road blocks

Used to eat there during practice in the early eighties and the Group C cars would shake the building as they went past at some speed - pre chicanes of course - and you could often get a window seat and just take it all in. Those were the days.

Worth going on the Friday while the straight is open to the public and watch the cars poodle by and have a beer in the sun (rain).
