Hi Folks,

Just after a bit of last minute advice/thoughts.

The GF and I are going in a Westfield this year, were staying in a hotel as I fancy a bit of luxury... anyway for one reason and another our party decided to travel a day earlier than we booked the hotel for and we are planning to spend Tuesday night camping in Maison Blanche with the rest of our group who are roughing it. We have general admission tickets so I don't think it will be a problem getting into MB on foot but I realise that we won't be able to get the car in.

I have a parking white ticket for later in the week - does anyone know if the car parks are used/manned earlier in the week? I am a bit worried about leaving the car there overnight if its going to be sat on its own in a field. Thoughts on this?

The other option is for us to drop the car in the hotel car park and catch a lift down to the circuit then get the tram back the next day.

Sorry for the longwindedness biggrin Basically - are the car parks alright on a tuesday/wednesday night?

Cheers, smile

Sirus,

Not completely sure about parking earlier in Parking Blanc. I have always parked in Parking Blanc from Friday onwards and slept in the motor. Some people also park in Parking Blanc in their alloted space and set up a tent on the adjacent space to sleep in...Ok if there'e the room (rarely) otherwise a definite no no with the stewards. Depends on available space. On the Saturday I've seen people arrive in the morning to park according to their alloted space, find a tent on their space, and you can imagine the ensuing discussion!

Hope this helps.

There are ususally a few cars about in Blanc on Tuesday but not that many. You won't be in an alloted space so at least you can park reasonably close to the MB entrance so you can check on your baby from time to time. On balance, I'd say using the tram would be safer, but you'll certainly get parked.

Wednesday should be fine though as there will be loads of cars there for quali.

Thanks for the thoughts, I'm going to go with the hotel/tram plan, probably safer over all.

Enjoy the race! smile
