Stupid question but can you buy....

Like the OP I prefer cider and I took a barrel of Thatchers with me last year. Didn't find a great choice of cider in the local shops so will bring my own again this year. Fortunately we have plenty of space in the support vehicle for the Magners, and a freezer for the ice cubes.
I did find one very light cider (2%) which was ideal to have with breakfast

What a strange question! The French (particularly Bretons and Normans) are famous for their Cider - Supermarkets are full of the stuff. UK-recognised brands will be expensive so take it with you but Leclerc own-brand is cheap and palatable.
If you take the Portsmouth -> Le Havre/Caen crossing you route south to Le Mans is through Cider Country so could stop off and buy something rough as a badgers badger.Little Dave said:

At around 1 pm on Friday I tried to buy some, but was told I couldn't until after 4pm as it was alcoholic, but he sold me 3 beershttp://www.vodka-and-co.com/2008/04/25/kronenbourg...
