Whats the latest on the Tram?

Looks like I might have secured a last minute space but am going to have to leave before the rest of the party does and get make my way back to the UK on Sunday night via public transport. If its anything like last year, catching a cab to the TGV in Le Mans isn't an option..

Anyone know if the tram is up and running now? If so, does it go anywhere near the train station? Can't get any sense out of a quick google..

The tram is up and running (well, it certainly was last weekend for the bike GP)

See some of it running a couple of weeks back, looking a lot tidier than in th epast few years but they were still doing road works here and there...hopefully it will be running late on the Friday evening.

Yes the tram is running, it will be available on Sunday evening and yes, it stops at the railway station. The only gap in the timetables is between 01.30 and 05.30 in the mornings.

The latest on the tram is that they go on strike shortly. The unions are complaining that Sarkozy is trying to drag french working rules into the 19th century and that their civil servant type pensions are to be reduced from the current 200% of salary and that they must work more than the stipulated 4 hours per month. This unfortunately is likely to be an ongoing situation from time to time.

anyone know what the nearest station is to the circuit...as far as i can make out on the map antares seems to be in the cicuit?? yet some other people say that guettloupe is the nearest?? not sure

Seem to remember getting out of the circuit was the least of our problems last year..

Thats because, unlike Le Mans, the bars actually overlook the track in places so you can have a beer and watch the action. It was also 2.5E a beer which is about half the price of Le Mans......

nice one that is a good guide for the tram...i think i will go into le mans centre for the first time to see the driver parade after been going to le mans for nearly 8 years

This might have been asked/answered elsewhere but are the trams going to be running until late on the Friday night? Also what are the usual operating times?

Usually they run from 5am until 1am. Don't think that will change for Le Mans week. The usual frquency is one every 5 minutes but that might change for the racing week though.

I plan to leave houx annexe around 3pm for drivers parade in town, what stop do i get off at then? thanks
