Just when I thought that the Le Mans forum had finished for the year!

We're going with the usual posse again next year.

Usual assortment of the Esprit, F360, a Noble (if my mate gets it in time!) and various others.

About 20 bodies altogether camping in Houx again.

He he, how many pages will this fill by June next year. I was getting withdrawal feelings form the lack of Le Mans posts, well done MGV8 that should stir it up a bit.....

Me, if our groups LM500 plans don't come to anything I'll be in the Stylus, after its rebuild, having new brakes, new interior, new engine (70 more horses) lighter weight, new lights, new paint and a flip front.....

LM500 - Each team, of two people has £500 to by a car, prepare it for a trip to Le Mans, paint it in team colours and get to Le mans for the weekend..... Shoul dkick up a few interesting beasts...

MGV8 - If you're there for the roundabout, remember to stay till Sunday and see our usual fireworks.

Mungo - I'll try and meet you at Le Mans this time, rather than on the boat back form Le Mans a week later. Which campsite are you aiming for this (next) year.

Bring it on

i will take my Cav down again almost certainly... (with its new addition of a gas-flowed cylinder head caused by le mans this year!!!)

if my bro's in the country he'll take his little-green MGB down for the third year... (just repaired the accident damage caused by le mans this year!!!)

Jules will probably be back in his beige MGB and Ian may take his K-Series Midget...

thats probably gonna be it in our convoy

VOW FOR LM04: meet more pistonheaders!!!

Last year there were 43 of us in a 20 vehicle convoy.
this year we are going early and have 52 places to fill!
Should be fun!

Would not miss the Crawley boys display.
Fireworks bouncing of the top of the lamp post and on to my head.

Crawley Boys!!!!! Monsieur Charles Crawley is very much one of our group, but he's just a newbie......

PS - Hopefully the wayward firework at the end of our display didn't get anyone, it was supposed to go in the opposite direction!

I saw your car there this year, but didn't manage to introduce myself, sorry for that, I will make up for it in 2004.

Ahem... Yes, I can't claim *all* the credit for our fireworks... Though I do seem to be unofficial web-chronicler of our particular brand of idiocy, at www.crawleybrothers.co.uk/le_mans.htm (plug... ) And as for newbie, I think 5 years (although nowhere near the totals of some people) discounts me from that particular moniker... A little rumour (to keep things on-topic for this thread), one of our number may have a rather nice motor this year...

I know... Trouble is that there's too many people with new cars, or who haven't driven before, who want to drive... Me for one... Ash may well be up for it, instead of this Mitsubishi or Scooby he's thinking of buying. I'd love to do it, but I'm desperate to drive down in either a nice new(ish) Tivver or if I don't have that, I'll take my old MGB GT...

Every year I see an MGB roadster V8 with flared wings. Its the same colour as yours I think.
Do you know who that is? Are they a PHer?

Charles, afraid to say your still a newbie in our books, maybe when you pass double figures then you'll lose the monika.

The accolade of fireworks supremo is probably a bit tenuous, however hats off to your wall of sound especially on Sunday that contributed to the "son et lumiere" display.

Although the Keeler wall of sound in it its hey day could be heard up by the racetrack so need a bit more volume next year.

Glad you liked the sound... We're going for a better system next year, as that one was literally grabbed at the last minute from kit that hadn't been hired out by DaveG's PA company... Actually, that's a fantastic idea to actually do a "son et lumiere"... /Thinking cap on...

Bloomin 'eck - I've no idea yet!!! Obviously the MG may take first preference, but maybe i'll take something else, we'll see.....

Incidently in the rain on the saturday at this years LM i got the BGT quite sideways off the roundabout in Arnage, much to the amusement of my passenger - he thought i did it on purpose.... I didn't of course - left hand roundabouts not being my forte, but i must have held it off pretty well cos i got a round of applause from those who witnessed it

Mind you this LM trips are getting expensive... Bust exhaust valve spring last year, caused by excessive right foot and spanked car this year thanks to some french learner driver..... Dread to think what next year will bring - especially if i get the supercharger fitted by then

Supercharger? How cool is that? (Rhetorical ) I imagine that'd put a grin on your face...
