I would just like to salute the driver of a Silver Murcielago on the way down to Le Mans on Thursday afternoon. There was a convoy of Marcos cars which were being picked off one by one by a new BMW M3, the lead Marcos Mantis was travelling at 120 mph with the BMW passing at approx 140 mph, the BMW had barely time to pull in when the Murcielago appeared from know where and passed the BMW like a speeding bullet travelling at what must have been at least 170 mph. The sight and sound was simply awesome, to see the car in a none Motor Show environment being used as intended was one of the highlights of the Le Mans experience. Whoever you were thank you.

Pants - i was rather hoping to see a Murc' going for it this weekend, thinking at least one would be down.

We went down on the wednesday this year - good for being down there and seeing what goews on before teh race, but crap for seeing the machinery drive down. Next year will have to be travelling down on a thursday - i reckon thats the best compromise!

we counted no less than 5 Murcielargers on our travels in and around Le Mans on Friday. 4 on the roads that make up the track, and 2 in the town.

also 4 diablo's, 2 countach's, 1 Mclaren F1 and 1 Enzo Donkey (and it wasnt JK's !)

Just this Lambo was the one that the rumours were about of him being clocked at 202mph....alledgedly he was immediately taken away and locked up, for a spell of 2 months.
Imagine explaining that to the wife.
