You will probably be able to get them from somewhere (sector times at least) but it's probably too soon.

Try looking for the teams own websites they may publish things like that over the next few weeks as part of 2003 Le Mans reviews.

I was under the (possibly mistaken) impression that they weren't too keen to give out figures because the GTS ferraris were beating the LMPs to the top speed figures.

And the air restricted, weight penalty GT class TVR's weren't that much slower than the GTS 550's down the straights . Bodes very well for next year assuming that get the sponsorship they need.

Sector times I can find, but speed trap figures are few and far between. I've been through all my paperwork from this year and can find only one reference, and that was published after the first qualifying session on Wednesday. Having glanced through it I suspect it's pretty meaningless, being the first session, but it's a hard-copy printout, so I can't post it without much clattering on the keyboard. If you think it might help, viperman, let me know and I'll give my fingertips some exercise.

Why don't I just type out the lot? (!!) The sheet is entitled "Best Speed Taking - Qualifying Practice 1" and is dated/timed 12th June 2003 00:11. They are in car order, not speed. The following is exactly as given on the sheet, and does not say where these figures were collected . . .

95 Risi Competizione 233.77
99 XL Racing 236.32

Apologies if there are any typos. As you can see, not hugely helpful without reference to where the figures were taken. The fastest here is Jan Lammers in the Dome with a best of 286.47 kph, or about 178 mph. Your guess is as good as mine as to where this might have been "trapped".

Best I can do, I'm afraid.

I forgot to mention that these times were issued by the French equivalent of MST, called Races Information Services. Their website (for future reference, since I don't think you'll find much of use there now) is www.ris.be.tf
