Okay boys and girls.

I can't speak french too well and I need to urgently phone around a number of hotels in Honfleur where we are staying on Thursday night. Any ideas how I can achieve this???

You'll probably find that a quick 'Parlez Vous Anglais' will do the job - most of the hotel people I've seen in France can get by in English.

If you want to try your luck online the following webpage has links to lots of french hotel chains, many can be booked online.

I use Logis de france, and book on-line. Nice hostels with great food.

All sorted using the parlez vous anglais bit

I used to be quite good at french but 10 years of alcohol abuse seem to have removed that talent!

Try

www.francereserve.com/Hotels_in_Normandy.htm

or

www.otedis.com/index.php?LANGUE=gb&CHANNEL=&CHANNELNAME=HOLBOU&COUNTRY=FRA&PHPSESSID=bb1d189fa215bdd30fe3fdbe079ef8fe

If you've got time, these are on-line reservation sites so you don't even need to speak to a real person, French or otherwise!!!
