Stayed there a few years back, don't park too near the toilets/shower block, if it's in the same place as it was when we were there when it floods, which it will, the water runs down hill and you don't want your tent in the way
There are a few water taps around the site I'd try and be near one of these, but usually when we camp in the free for all sites we have a little drive around looking for union flags and other TVR's to camp next to

We're in Houx Annexe as per usual this year... Just look for the biggest flagpole around... We should also be wearing our special edition "England Tour of France 2003" t-shirts...
Houx Annexe is "grab what you can", so I'd also add to the previous advice to avoid being too near main thoroughfares and exits / entrances to the site, as the constant to-ing and fro-ing, added to the amount of dust kicked up if it's hot can be a pain in the asre...

Hi thanks for the advice we certainly dont want to be camping in a load of someones s***. Being near the taps sounds wise less trips to keep the beer cool. We are going Dover to Calais on the early ferry, hence should arrive about lunchtime although we might stop for a bite to eat when we are near. Is the site fairly full or quiet by thursday lunchtime. Cheers k

Sounds like we should be able ID you easy enough, so we might take you up on the offer, can also provide some lovely warm beer as well.

Acording to the website the ferry arrives at 10:30am local time, is this not right?
