Memories of this s~#t camp site.
1. Cr@p camping surface (ploughed up, covered in cow sh*t)
2. Cold running showers
3. Crap access road with pot holes and 90 deg bends plus 1 and a bit car width.
4.Being stuck up to the rear axle and being towed out of camping field.(Many thanks to the PISTONHEADER who came to the rescue.
5.........this is the best one, 1 effing access road to get in and out of site thats linked with other camp sites.
6. THE WORST FRIGGING TRAFFIC JAM EVER, how does 4 hours to reach to main road sound! about 1000meters in 4 hours!!! effing ACO, effing Police, effing Joke! NOT!

t thought of bringing the main traffic flow from the main road outside of the campsite , through THE ONLY EXIT on,off the Boujour site!
The ACO have been doing Le-Mans for 75 years , I would have thought they would have some idea about traffic flow by now.
I`m sure a lot of limp wristed Brits will read this and think "Oh well, we got out in the end".......Sorry not to be of the same nature but the "escape" from that camp site at the end of the race (WE TRIED TO LEAVE AT 12.45 and got out at 4.30) was a bloody disgrace! We missed our ferry due to the ACO and I am aware of others who missed helicopter flights.

We booked Beausejour and ended up in the overflow campsite for D'Arion (or something) Left, left then left again.
We were about 10m from the BSJ to Haundieres (or something ) road which most people exited by and enjoyed luscious pasture from Friday to Monday but had to resort to exiting through the main entrance as it got a bit chewed going down the verge to the road. Bit out of the way and unfortunately we missed the twits reving their V8s till they popped and no-one tried to set fire to our tents or wlak all over our cars so a little disappointing on that front really.
Did enjoy a brief blast down the mulsanne on Monday and reached speeds in excess of 130 but what language that speed was in will remain a mystery, obviously!

Ouch. If you'd gone past the RX8's and turned left through the woods when you reached the toilet block you'd have been out in 5 minutes.
We left to park at Parking Blue at about 12:30 and drove straight out - more by luck than judgement I guess.

yup, we did exactly that once we realised that the traffic was not moving, apart from waiting for a coach to back down the road we would have been out in 5 mins too, we were then directed through Arnage and we were away.We left to park at Parking Blue at about 12:30 and drove straight out - more by luck than judgement I guess.

The campsite is bigger than ever (probably Karting, Blue and MB rolled together), the people were packed in there this year and with the 'improved' traffic management just became gridlocked. The Danish camp took up one entry road and the other road (two 90 degree bends on a dirt track) was never going to cope with the exodus on Sunday afternoon. It could barely cope with the pedestrian traffic avoiding the slurry on the roadsides..
We stayed until Monday.
The space you could get on Beausejour used to balance out some of the downpoints - but you don't even get the space anymore.

We made the mistake of trying to get out to the supermarket on Sunday, around noon. Sat in the Sagaris for 90mins, got halfway off the campsite, and used 9 litres of fuel! Gave up and had some wine in the end...
In fairness that would have been pretty well impossible from anywhere around the area. Your chances of getting out and in on either Saturday or Sunday are pretty low. I spent about three hours trying to get back to Houx a number of years ago. Actually thinking about it you wee probably saved a wasted jouney - I doubt the supermarket would have been open anyway!
