ok,so it looks like there 3 pin,but is french 3 pin and standard camping 3 pin the same?im starting to get confused here, anyone got a piccie of what sort of adaptor i need to buy please?can they be bought easily from halfords or do i need to go elsewhere? we have a two pin travel adaptor but thats all,so i need to get something quick but havent a clue where to start.-thanks again-mv
The ones at Expo last year were like a standard French socket, thats two circular holes for your plug to go into PLUS one male pin which goes into the female recess on you plug (how sad do I feel that I know that) They are certainly not guaranteed though. The only sites with guaranteed electric are Camping Houx and Airtrack's VIP camping field.
Also, the ones at Expo were basically taken from a pylon and consisted of many many splitters/adapters etc. They therefore will not reach all areas of the campsite. We got a couple of 20 meter extension cables to run it down to our "pitch" and then put a 4 way power surge protected UK extionsion into that (only one foreign adapter then required for four UK appliances
