i know it sounds daft, third time of driving to Le Mans but it's my first time of actually leading the convoy. We are coming into Dieppe so what is the best route and I'm sure we didn't use motorways in the previous years.
Just remembered fast streights and a couple of McDonalds if it's any help.

hmm, don't know off hand but i'm sure if you followed just about any other car with british plates in the middle of june you'd end up at le mans.

if thats no use try this link:

Avoid all signs that have a motorway sign and the word Payage (sp) on them ... N routes are the most fun ... Did 2000 miles last year through france on N routes only following the Routiers routes. excellent scenery and long straight roads

From Dieppe its fairly easy, just follow the signs to Rouen and then from there Le Mans is signposted. I don't think the French have built any more Peages yet, but certainly last year the only bit was from Alecon down to Le Mans. Arguaby worth paying the toll on the way down, but the queues on the Monday on the way back were horrendous

I have been doing the Newhaven Dieppe crossing for years. If you want a straight run to LM as said previously go to Rouen - Alencon and on to LM.

If you want a blast through some fantastic scenery and excellent roads through forests use the following on Autoroute:
Dieppe - Totes - Yerville - Yvetot - Over the 'Pont de Britone' on to Brionne - then head for Alencon and Le Mans.

They are fantastic roads, with some excellent bars/cafes en route.

All depends on your preference.

If you are going earlier Thursday morning, we will be in a convoy of 10 - 15 cars!
