Well I've tried Houx, Houx Annex, and Camping Blue, and thats the order I'd put them with Houx being the best of the 3
It's the only one with electricity hook ups, and a bar as far as I know,
Always wondered about the campsites within the Bugatti circuit area, alot closer the action so alot more noise, last year someone had pitched their tent under the trees on the straight leading into Tetre Rouge about 5 feet from the wire fence around the track

Our 1st year was camping blue, turned up at Le Man Friday night with just General Admission tickets, and no idea where to camp, the whole trip was a spur of the moment thing, bought a camping permit of a French chap at the gate to a field, which turned out was 'Camping Blue' drove around the campsite until we found a space near some else waving the Union Flag and set up camp.
A top time was had mainly due to the chaps on a stag do we had camped next to who were old hands at the Le Man thing.
But Camping Blue facilities do leave a lot to be desired the queue for the 'toilets' was a joke and there weren't any showers, it may be better now though
Last years Motorhome luxury will take some beating, PS2, site lights, and a fridge.
Mungo look us up in Houx, but it'll have to be Lager not Jack Daniels

Well, for my first Le Mans, it was Bleu last year, wasn't too bad, a good atmosphere.
Sounds like the facilities have improvred a little, since raceboys stay, better loos anyway.. nearest showers were near the cct. Was so warm last yr a cold shower from the taps in the campsite did the job

In Maison this yr with 'Arthur Dent'...

Stayed at Houx two years ago and had OK showers. Houx annex last year had a little more space, no sap from the trees but completely gopping shower/bogs . May have had something to do with the heat but I ended up having a better shower at the car wash

I've been every year since '87 and doner all the sites. the only ones with showers are Houx and Maison Blanche. Karting Nord is, IMHO, the worst of the lot. The toilets on all sites other than above two are usually temporary sheds, overflowing.
Last year for first time, and againthis year, we have used Expo. the site is good, but no showers, and hgole in the ground toilets. However, as ACo members we get to use the hot showers and proper toilets in the members stand so not bothered about facilities on camp.
Expo was secure with guards on the gates at all times - essentail for us as we have two 'rarris in the convoy

in my oppinion Mason Blanche is one of the best... your inside the circuit, it feels safer... first year went to Blue .. it was awful.. lots of strangers wandering about all the time.
expo this year... 2x rarri's 3xtvr's and 3xM3's and only 50 meters from the pub with a supply of cold flowing beer.... will shower at the ACO complex in the grandstand

Raceboy, what sort of eletrical hook-ups? I presume the usual French power points, but perhaps they are camping/boating style ones. Are they free to anyone with a site pass?

Can figure out the bar myself..

Free to use, we've always been camped on the left hand side as you drive in to the site and they are along the back wall in banks of 6 or 8 for each row of pitches, if I remember correctly they are standard French 2 pin plug sockets so a standard camping shop Euro adaptor is needed

Excellent, I'll be able to charge up all the assorted gadgets I'm likely to take then...

Maybe I could take an electric car and charge it for free... But then, maybe not...
