2003 Practise / PQ weekend
Discussion
I cannot make next years race, due to best man duties.
So have decided to do the practise / PQ weekend in May. Sort of a pre stag-do do.
Anyone get any tips on camping, tickets, timetable, etc.
With regards to booking, best places, etc.
Normally do the race weekend, but just looking for info for a smooth PQ weekend.
Thanks in advance.

If your going down to PQ weekend camping is not best as very few people go down and camp. Leaving belongings/tent unattended would not be advisable.
Try and find a local hotel, they are your best bet. There are plenty in Arnage - Formula 1, Campanile etc.
It is a great weekend though and always over the bank holiday.

The Pres (of T.W.A.T.S fame) over on Club Arnage has suggested that there is a significant camping community starting to gather for PQ weekend, mainly in Vert.
The trouble is the assembled troups are all showing interest now, but when push comes to shove in May, I could be left with a whole mess of a hotel booking to try and sort out.
Anyone know of the timetable for PQ weekend?

Have been for the last 3 years...
Definitely worth getting a hotel, but book early - quite a few of the teams stay at them...
We've been down on the Friday and Saturday.. Although nothing really happens until Sunday.. Good excuse to go out and about on the town though!! It's usually the Bank Holiday weekend (goes down well with better half's.. not!) and so have stayed on the Sunday as well, had another night out!! A leisurely drive back on the Monday.. There is a pitlane walkabout bit on the Saturday up until about 4pm..
