Anyone have any problems with the local dibble driving to and from Le Mans this year? Normally the thread is full of people being fined for speeding, police hiding in camouflage gear behind bridges etc. I can't believe we've all learnt our lesson.

Yes, I had a slight problem with them smile It turns out they don’t appreciate a burn-out or a very loud pop bang exhaust smile

Can’t say I’m surprised, I was about 3 pitches up from you, I got an alarm call from your exhaust one morning, sounded awesome.
Can’t believe you drove it to le mans

One of our team got pulled over at Junct 5 on the A28. 230kph, license lost, hefty fine and delayed over an hour.

Good news for my 21 year old son though as he got to drive the car (a GT4) back to the tunnel!

I thought Police presence was very minimal this year. Over the past 30 years their presence has come and gone. I remember the 1990s when they let people get away with anything, including slaloming through them on the Mulsanne by Cafe des Hunadieres and then breathalysing all the time, then moving to all out riot gear, to nothing again.

Last year, they were everywhere on the drive down, dressed in camo gear hidden in bushes, etc. This year, from Dieppe we didn't see any until we got to Le Mans and even there, they were less in your face.

Didn’t have a single alert on Waze for police traps; it seemed to be flagging the fixed camera sites reliably enough.

They were there as usual. €90 for me which is a dam sight better than the €800 they were stinging a Maclaren driver for at the same stop.

Nah. They were there. I got zapped for €90. 168 in a 130. That guy in the red hat got pinged for nearly €800 for doing nearer 200kph in his Macca.
