Cormier Campsite

Cormier is pretty basic no electric but showers and toilets clean and working.
About 50% occupied at the moment. Pitches are marked out and the hound is reasonably level. No trouble getting pegs in. No electric hook up.
It’s a bit out of the way but served well by a free bus to the main area.
It’s by an industrial estate / retail park with a good boulangerie and one shop. Better to stock up at the Super U in Arnage.
Make sure you arrive from the Arnage side of the track because your sat nav may not know the D338 is closed for the race.
Safe journey

Here's my first timer's review of Cormier for Le Mans, hope it helps someone in the future.
Positives:
+ Great for making a getaway after the finish on Sunday. Being so close to the Mulsanne, this opened quickly and we were able to make a very quick escape from the circuit without having to go through Arnage!
+ Toilets and showers were always clean enough, had loo roll and showers had warm water. There were not enough of them, but by showering etc at odd times i never waited for facilities.
+ The shuttles were both a positive and negative. Quick enough when the traffic allowed them to be earlier in the week...
+ The bakery in the industrial estate is great if you are an early riser! Sold out super fast though.
+ Easy to get in and out of by car, ground stayed in much better shape than other sites. They organised the pitches very well, really crammed us in but no issues.
+ Not too rowdy. A few generators and noisy soundsystems, nothing like some of the other sites.
Negatives:
- It's miles away from literally everything. Could be a positive for many, but my 65k step count over the weekend disagreed! No spectating on Mulsanne, so nearest spectator spot is Porsche curves - still the entire width of the circuit away.
- Shuttle takes forever with the traffic at peak times, often quicker walking. They stopped at 1.30am on Sat night, ended up walking back from Tertre Rouge to go to bed when the rain was coming!
- Needed a few more toilets for peak times, i did see some big queues.
Overall, for the money, staying at Cormier was a decent result. Learned a lot of lessons over the weekends about "how to Le Mans", we'll see what next year brings!
