Hi all,

We are arriving on Houx early morning of Saturday 8th.

Any questions anyone has, we will try and help.

Are bottles allowed in? What's the weather like? How is it looking underfoot in Beausejour? How much is a box of '33' in Carrefour? Are the Merguez next to the socks in Super U? Anything we can help with, we will.

It'll be our 20th trip so, we've pretty much got you covered!

Any updates about weather & underfoot conditions, especially for Beausejour as we'll be staying there, could come in very handy. Appreciate the effort, thanks in advance!

I’ll be on Tertre Rouge as soon as they open the gates on Friday morning, will update on whether the perfidious French really have done away with the leccy supply and general conditions

If you could confirm Houx still has its electrical hookups that would be appreciated
Cheers

Electric in Houx just as it's always been. There's been some heavy rain rhe last few weeks, the ground is firm but quite damp. You'll have no issue getting tent pegs in.

No searches on the way in for bottles, glasses, stowaways, etc.

For those in Houx, they've added another block for showers/bogs by the entrance.

Thanks, that is already very helpful! I was a bit uncertain whether or not there would be electricity. Now we know we can take our electric fridge :-)

I suspect they have given up listing electricity as a facility so they aren't obligated to repair the posts during the week, or to avoid fielding complaints from punters who end up too far away to plug in.

Great on the electric front. Not been for a decade, and never to Houx. Anything special about the power setup? Will pack what's required.

As mentioned, any campsite pitch layout would be grand.

Cans only, no bottles I assume?

Yes, not enough outlets for the demand - be prepared for negotiation/skulduggery as required..

Yep, the easiest solution for power is to daisy chain from your neighbours and hope no-one plugs than one kettle in at a time.

So an extension cable, some uk-euro and/or euro-uk adaptors, and then plastic bags and tape to keep the water out.

We got a long lecture from security on the way in about no glass being allowed, but once they’d finished they didn’t take a look in the vehicle. As always at Le Mans it depends entirely on who you get though
