Parking Stickers

In order to (theoretically) speed up the process of accessing car parks last year the ACO issued windscreen stickers for the parking tickets already purchased. I managed to receive mine from the ACO before I left for France but I know that some others had to go to a place out at Changé (IIRC), and I gather the location was pretty hard to find. I assumed that they would probably do the same this year but have heard no more. I have all my tickets hard copy but it would be good to avoid having to go and collect stickers there if they decide to issue them again.

Has anyone with a parking ticket heard anything about this yet?

Not yet heard anything for this year, but to be fair finding the location last year to pick up the car parking sticker wasn’t a problem. The ACO gave clear instructions and the address, even the generally poor Porsche Nav system managed to find the location.

Yeah, too be fair the signage was excellent (and surprising) leading you into the rather anonymous location.

Just had this from the ACO (in answer to my query):-

Stickers will be available at the entrance of campsites and parking lots.
We will not renew what was done last year by sending them in advance.

Many years ago while camping in Bleu we turned up with the previous year's parking sticker on the windscreen and were waved through.

By the time they realised we were past the gate heading for the pitch. once in we realised we couldn't risk taking the car out for the whole of the five days we were there.

A shame in a way. Had they just sent them out earlier it wouldn’t have been an issue and would likely lead to more efficient entry into the car parks.

Or if we just rid of the clowns who turn up without a ticket hoping to blag it and hold up everyone whilst they do that oh so confused routine with the marshals, before then having to reverse out and leave.

Agreed on both counts. It worked well sending them out in advance but it must have cost the ACO a fair bit. The only problem with the stickers last year was getting them off the windscreen a few months later.....

Mine stayed on the windscreen for about 4 months Vincent, but they were a hell of a job to scrape off when I did finally remove them. I had three along the top of the windscreen so they really had to go!
