Friday plans for 2023

Hi

Has anything been published yet re the ACO plans for the Friday - usually it’s a pit-walk but last I checked, there was nothing showing for that date.

I presume the corners will have their own events as before?

Nothing that I've seen yet, but wouldn't really expect it this early , it's been reported on here that it looks like there'll be a Fun Cup race, hopefully not as long a race as last time though

I don't generally plan much for the Friday. As I always stay up all night for the race, Friday is all about getting some rest for me at my age, however last year I really enjoyed the Centenary celebration at the circuit. There's the CBW of course at St Saturnin, but having done that for a number of years I confess I started to find it quite dull. I hope to have done a pit walk earlier in the week.

1430 - 1930 "VIRAGE DE MULSANNE" CAR DISPLAY AND ENTERTAINMENT with CLASSIC CARS !!! Music with street party feel actually on the circuit from M corner up toward Indianapolis. BY Car PARK AT Mulsanne Corner Carpark in the woods (see details in Where to View - Mulsanne Corner) OR you can cycle down there and continue round the circuit until you are diverted off at Porsche Curves. Remember track is closed from Wed 0300 so the old pop up events in the chicanes can't happen now. Never, I thought last year was an improvement on previous years - being able to walk, scoot, cycle round the complete circuit was great. Fireworks/drone light show was exceptional but might have only been for the 100th.

Thanks all - if I’m able to go, I’m considering whether to arrive Friday or Saturday.

CBW isn’t something I’m bothered about now - I’ll check the plans nearer the time and plan accordingly if I end up being OK to attend.

On the back of doing the track, having the opportunity to walk/cycle some of the famous racing lines is always great, do you think access will be available this year, if so wheres the best place to enter the track and cycle it?

Very unlikely we will see anything as packed as 2023, that was a centenary year.

We do have new Hypercar manufacturers so I expect there would be something flashy and corporate though.

Yes, I'd expect less this year, but it was sold out quickly. Inertia from last year?

New Hypercars may encourage the true race fans and people who missed out last year, but they mean more hospitality parasites
