This year due to ticket (un)availability , half our group of merry race goers will be camping in Tertre Rouge, the other half in Clos Fleurie.

I’ve never tried to access other campsites before so how does it work?
Do you just show the kids on the gate your chit from the other site and they let in?

I suspect we’ll have issues just getting through the vehicle gate at TR without the red sticker in the windscreen, that may not be such an issue at CF.

I’d be interested to hear others’ experiences gaining access to other campsites?

I don’t think any of the other ACO campsites have the Tertre Rouge pass out ticket system

Having stopped at BSJ several times, I’m sure cars are issued with a yellow sticker that has to be displayed to gain vehicle access. I’m pretty sure that during the race you also need a GA ticket for pedestrian access as BSJ includes the Porsche Curve viewing area. scratchchin

Houx has a car pass in/out system and also general entrance tickets are scanned, as it's officially "inside the circuit".

Yes , but on leaving TR you get given a pass out ticket which you need to hand back to gain entry to the campsite

If you are in TR npo problem visiting the other campsites but TR security is different as said and without the correct bit of paper it is very hard to get in. If you keep on good terms with the security and meet ypur "Guests" at the main entry point youcan usual get a guest or two in.

Last year was my my first Le Mans and camped in BSJ, but this year I'm going to camp in Tertre Rouge (I know, what an upgrade smile ) and I thought it was like the other campsites, but some of you said that it isn't like that. Can someone explain me what differs / has in special TR security compared to the other campsites? And there is something you can't get into Tertre Rouge compared to other campsites?

From the Wednesday onwards, when leaving the site you’ll be handed a contremarque ticket which you’ll have to hand back in to get onto the site. Any old riff raff wandering past shouldn’t be able to get into the site.

In terms of getting things into the site, bear in mind it’s within the circuit, so glass and alcohol can be an issue, as always don’t expect rules to be hard and fast and consistently implemented, you’re best burying booze deep in your vehicle when coming into site, the staff on the gate into the circuit tend to be stricter than those on the campsite entrance. It pays to be friendly and get to know the staff on the gate.
