Beausejour newbie
Discussion
We have been lucky to have been to the race on numerous occasions but have always stayed on Bleu Nird apart from last year when we were put on Houx but next year we are staying on Beausejour. Does this site have numbered pitches or is it just a free for all? We will be arriving Friday morning so a bit concerned we may struggle to find space for 6 people to camp together

I had exactly this concern last year after many years with numbered pitches on Maison Blanche and then BN. i therefore reached out to this forum and had many responses saying it will be very difficult to find a space. Whilst i arrived Thursday we had absolutely no issues and there were still plenty of spaces Friday morning. The place is huge. I was very concerned about staying there but actually really enjoyed it with the close access to Porsche Curves. Have fun!Lovey1 said:

Was going to say one in each seat and two on roof
But there’s an overflow part of BSJ east of main site which gets opened later and also always seems a bit more space in a small field just after the track through the woods if you follow signs for Village on Curves(which is next to Porsche curves bank). Not sure on facilities there but it’s closer to Porsche curves than most of site and can walk out by allotments track that comes out where the road goes under the track.

I've camped in most sites, and while BSJ is not my favourite, it is nice as you can be a bit more 'free; with your pitch and its surrounded by woodlands
We (18 of us in 9 cars) rocked up Thursday evening this year worries we wouldn't find anywhere big enough, but we were fine, nice corner in a far field, yes it meant a bit of a walk, but no passing traffic, up against woods/fence, nearish loos and showers etc, it was nice!
Was busier by Friday afternoon/eve, so don't hang around

Facilities are a bit sparse since they closed the shortcut to the main entrance. Two toilets in the woods towards the marshall post, otherwise it's a bit of a treck through the woods or to Porche Curves. But it's a nice spacious spot and usually relatively calm.
Definitely carry on into the site as far as you dare, we had a great spot this year (although there Wednesday) with tree shade and a short walk from the very good loos.
The only problem we had was some Dutch knobheads blowing up gas canisters on Sunday night, which was quickly stopped when one of their party was decked
