Isn't that just a little bit sad?
Nothing against private plates, but that seems a little desperate in my view.
Agreed, owner probably drives around with the car stickered up 365 days a year, probably wears merchandise everywhere he goes and then goes home to his empty house and wonders why match.com isnt working. Nothing against private plates, but that seems a little desperate in my view.

That is quite specific!
I bought a plate for my wife and found mine on the DVLA site. And yes, I have a sticker on the back of the car. Do I feel sad? Not a bit. I'd rather have something unique than all the stickers that appear on cars each June. And I've been offered a great deal more for it than I paid....

Umm, it's not about feeling sad. And it is no more unique than any other vehicle registration out there.

It's about wanting something that you think is unique and has some meaning, whether it's LM24HRS, your deceased spouse's initials or something else that has some relevance to you.And it is no more unique than any other vehicle registration out there.
I think cars with blacked out windows, orange-film windscreens, stupidly-lowered, multi-colour body panels (as a style rather than lack of cash) egregious.
Hopefully that plate has been bought by someone who is a racing fan and not some chancer who plans to sell it for a profit.

Absolutely. I love mine. But each to his own. LM24HRS obviously hasn't been registered with the DVLA yet. I think cars with blacked out windows, orange-film windscreens, stupidly-lowered, multi-colour body panels (as a style rather than lack of cash) egregious.

You can still get LM24 BOP - assume its not very popular! or LM24 PUG if you believe in miracles

Nought wrong with the odd sticker or three
LM24 or L24 etc are not obvious to most - like some plates with dubious spacing and additional fits and whatever
I have the same stickers. I agree that L24 references are lost on most people, although not in Arnage car park last year at 2 am.... LM24 or L24 etc are not obvious to most - like some plates with dubious spacing and additional fits and whatever
I had several French people admire my plate over the last couple of years but ultimately it doesn't really matter if anyone else likes it or recognises it. It works for me.
