Is this going to be a must for getting a Grandstand seat and a choice of campsite in 2024.

This year was the first time I was unable to get a Grandstand and I would prefer to have one. Wasn't much choice in campsite either and my preference of Epinettes wasn't available.

So, was that due to the centenary or will this be an on going issue due to new found popularity.

In short should I stump up for membership and will it help?

I finally signed up to the ACO after last years fiasco. You do get a discount on a couple of tickets as well as the early booking, so it is worth it I reckon.

I've been a member for 26 years so it's a given for me anyway. Being a member did make life much easier last year. There were 4 in our group and we have 2 members.

I wouldn’t expect a wide range of campsites to be available based on last year, I was in the queue for an hour or so before it went live and it was BSJ, the new ones or Arnage/ Mulsanne that was left when I got through

Well, looking at it more closely it's a no brainer. Week ticket is €115. A member price is €69. That's €46 saved. 2 tickets €92 saved so membership of €73 recovered and more.

Whether it helps with access to grandstand/campsite to be seen.

I'm not expecting anything to change now from 2023, although, true to form, the ACO have been completely silent about any changes - as they were last year. I think it'll be all the same campsites and parking. Those that were given over to other things will remain that way, I reckon.

Well you get in early and buy joint grandstand and entry passes - so it’s a yes.

I have taken the plunge this year to buy a membership too for 2024. Considering I go to the track many times in the year visiting as part of a work trip, I feel now is the right time (first time since 2014 I should add) to go to the race!

I bought an ACO membership before this years race and had a lot of hassle setting up the monthly payments option. Still am to be honest. Hopefully they have sorted it out for the renewal.

It’s definitely worth it for the clean toilets during the race at the very least 👌
