Classic - Camping - Ticket Changes
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Not been Classic since 2018, I've just gone to book as we decided to do my brothers stag do as a Classic trip! I've noticed now the General Admission tickets no longer seem to give grandstand access, is that correct? There's only 1 grandstand access ticket left but it does say you can stay in any grandstand after 8pm.
Camping wise we did Bleu Nord last time, it seemed pretty close to the paddock, they only have Beausejour left. Is this a million miles away from the paddock area etc? We will be BBQ mostly, im guessing its still allowed?
I guess thats it for now, real last minute trip I'm trying to put together for 12 people!
Thanks,

From BSJ is about a 20 minute walk to the Tribune part of the circuit or 15 to the karting area, depending on which bit you're wanting to get to. I did this myself last week, as I really couldn't be bothered to wait for the shuttle bus which was almost always full, late or both.
I'm unable to offer any help with the packages, as I'm going to the classic for the first time this year too.

It did seem quicker and a lot less sweaty to walk last week. I'm unable to offer any help with the packages, as I'm going to the classic for the first time this year too.

up until this year I’d booked the camping and a few ga tickets first with the ACO and then got the remainder of ga’s paddock passes and grandstand seats when I had confirmed numbers. Not been Classic since 2018, I've just gone to book as we decided to do my brothers stag do as a Classic trip! I f’d up this year as I didn’t realise that the tickets are now a “combi ticket” I got ga’s with paddock passes but ACO wouldn’t let me buy grandstand seats as an add on in a different transaction.
how French !!!

Cheers guys, 20 mins isn't the end of the world. I'll have to take a looking to karting!
Are there any restrictions on taking your own alcohol in, and BBQ etc does anyone know?
Check out the beer mountain website for useful info…you can take beer and bbqs etc into campsites, and cans but not bottles into the circuit. Are there any restrictions on taking your own alcohol in, and BBQ etc does anyone know?

There's also a spectating area inside the Beausjour campsite, on the inside of 'Porsche curves entry'. It's not a bad spot either (there's a reason there's a huge gravel trap there...) and while you wouldn't want to spend all your time there good when you're sat at the tents and have a "What's on track making THAT noise!" moment. Thanks guys, its a stag do for my brother so I think camping BBQ, walking over to the track in just wondering around, and stuff.
Your right maybe no point in getting grandstand seats, we might sit down for what 30 mins lol.
Hiring a 9 seater mini bus from the UK with a single tent that sleeps 8, so i'm not sure if 2 pitches would be enough or do i need 3? The tent is 7mx2.5m. We will have to pack light!
Cheers.

That was our favourite spot this year. Not too busy, food / beer stall and toilets nearby too.JayK12 said:

There is a benefit to having a grandstand seat, and that is to get out of the sun. I was at the 24 and it was hot. The forecast for the Classic is that it's going to be hotter, 34 degrees C on the Thursday when I arrive. That's OK for sun worshippers, but that's about the point that I spontaneously combust. Have normally done grandstands for Classic (last 4 times or so), there a lot cheaper than main race. Make sure it has a roof for sun or rain protection. If it's going to be that hot dragging chairs around and sitting mainly in sun would not be fun.
Grandstand seats also good for a cooler meeting up place as if a large group you'll be possibly doing/seeing different things in smaller groups at village/track etc.
GS's opposite pits also get to see all the set ups for the LM starts for the 4 or so older groups

Thanks guys, I'll book grandstand seats. I do remember last time we went we were sat in them in the evening just chilling out watching the cars, and for the group C start, what a noise.
We have decided to take a few cars, trying to get a LWB Ford Tourneo Connect is proving difficult, everyone has a SWB which is not going to fit our stuff at all.
Question though we have 2 cars, an 8 man tent at 7 x 2.5m, would 2 pitches be fine?

So I booked 3 pitches, but was told there not numbered, so your on your own to find 3 next to each other! Hopefully when we arrive Friday early afternoon we can.
Does anyone get a BBQ and charcoal from the local Carrefour or do you usually bring your own? I'm guessing everyone hitting Carrefour in the local area might reduce there stock a bit so not sure I want to risk it.

I found it the other day after the recommendation. Seems to be up and running.

Carrefour seem pretty well stocked whenever we go in. It's not their first rodeo though So I booked 3 pitches, but was told there not numbered, so your on your own to find 3 next to each other! Hopefully when we arrive Friday early afternoon we can.
