Bit late - I realise... but what happened to one of the staples of the fairground at Le Mans.. the oval karting near to the dodgems that was known as death karting.. When I first knew it, it had wooden slatted boards to drive on, which made the handling challenging, and a few years ago these were changed to metal which to be honest made no difference after a couple of mineral waters..

Does anyone know if it was moved elsewhere in the village?

Really hope it hasn't gone for good..

Wasn't that 25 years ago?

The fairground has been squeezed out over the years, probably due to the strippers

Definitely didn't see the death karts this year, but you could still fire a gypsies shotgun at some balloons.

I even thought the ferris wheel was slightly less ropey then usual. Must have had a coat of paint and the nuts tightened.

We looked and could not find them, sad days indeed.

I remember the strippers and the lady with no torso, them were the days..

Where were they last year? Didn't see them but did do the big wheel (only take me 20 years to get around to it!).

Last year I'm pretty sure they were off to the left of the Dunlop bridge past all the grandstands - not the other end past the Porsche centre where the big wheel and the sling shot thingy are.

That would be “La Femme Incomplete” (or something very similar). Remember walking past that show in the early/mid-90s.

Can’t say I ever had the desire to go in, also remember the carnage on the wooden oval Kart track!
