Well it should be a lot more interesting than the Toyota demo. runs of the last few years. On paper this year should be an all-time classic.

Maybe I’m missing something here but there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated race thread. If so feel free to park your thoughts here as the weekend progresses.

Jota winning both LMH and LMP2, now that would be something…

Looking forward to it this year it should be a good race. Didn’t see how the Cadillac was after yesterdays fire, was it fixable? Just gutted not to actually be there.

Cadillac - high pressure fuel union failed apparently. Missed final FP but will run I believe.

How can I watch the racing without having Eurosport are there any legitimate streams available?

First random thought of the day. My first LM visit was in 1976 (yes I’m old..). The ACO invited NASCAR to have a punt that year. The Dodge Charger and Ford Torino that made the journey looked unwieldy and qualified over a minute off outright pole.

This year’’s Camaro qualified significantly quicker than any of the GT cars - OK they’ve been allowed a few liberties but that is impressive.

It has to start from the back of the grid so progress could be interesting…and I love the trolley jacks…

In for the (sole) 'Vette as usual, but looking forward to the wider race - esp. that Camaro, love to be there to see/here that.

Can't see past Toyota for the win though - maybe one of the Ferrari's to podium.

Anyone got a decent timing site - ACO's app is sign-up only now?

This. We don't have Eurosport anymore since changing our package.

If you have Sky - D+ is free.

One months subscription direct is the best other option I think.

Yeah the Camaro was 4 seconds faster over a lap. It takes them much longer to change brakes than the GT cars though.

Hopefully they stay out of trouble because it should be fun to watch.

Lots of peeps banging on about the pointlessness of the Camaro running uncontested in its own class. Personally I think this sort of variety is what makes Le Mans.

Also, there was a precedent 60 years ago :

No issue with it running uncontested, but it’s a garage 56 entry, which is supposed to be for innovation

There is nothing innovative about a lightened NASCAR with carbon brakes

Sure it makes a nice noise and is quick, but what’s the point?

Not quite, it starts ahead of the GT cars but at the back of LMP2. A sensible decision since it's huge and will be 5 secs a lap quicker than the GTs

Thanks, what was confusing was i assumed it was at 4pm Local, but various places were saying, 4, 3 AND 2 pm.

not stating if it was GMT or not haha.
