Leisurely trip back on the Monday - suggestions welcomed
Discussion
We're not coming back till late on the Monday night (23:59)
Anyone got suggestions of places to stay that they would recommend on the route back to Dieppe?
Additionally places to visit during in a day.
I'm normally pretty good at finding Grade A "steak baguette et frites" on the roadside but any help appreciated on the other items.

Logis de france is my usual go-to for hotels with good food.
Rouen is lovely in the centre, and you and try and find the old F1 circuit ( most of it is still driveable).
Lots of ww2 museums of course. This is good if you have children https://www.lacoupole-france.co.uk
Ive tried to find the V3 site but never been successful
Etretat just along the coast from Dieppe is quite scenic. (If you walk up the hill in the background of the picture there are several other arches to see)
Just to inject a little culture into the thread that was painted by Claude Monet, entitled Regnvaer Etretat and
Brittany ferries named a ship after it.
I'll get my coat

You haven't said which route you're taking up to Dieppe, but Bellême, Mortagne-au-Perche, Verneuil-sur-Avre are pretty little towns to stop at if you're passing through.
Further north there's one of "les plus beaux villages de France", Le-Bec-Hellouin, you might pass by but I've no idea what it's like.
Or take a look at a Michelin map. They rate towns from zero to three stars on how interesting they are. Combine that with a spot of Street Viewing and you'll have an idea of what's worth stopping at for a look around.

Fortress of Mimoyecques https://www.mimoyecques.fr/
Southwest of Calais. Just east of Bainghen. On Google maps, you can still see the bomb crater damage to the buildings on the roof
La Coupole is worth a look if you're heading that way.

Then Le Touquet for lunch, or afternoon tea.

Thank for the tips all.
Ended up here purely by chance, La Bouille.

Appears Waze was sending a lot of Le Mans returnees this route as the Ferryman had seen a lot of stickered up cars that day.
The maneuverability of this thing was pretty impressive. Even crossing the wake of a Seine Cruiser!

Yes, Went off a more normal route for fuel and then single carriageway roads, 30kph zones with chicanes and then crossed railway line on an industrial area - got stopped behind 2 cars at a funny light and saw a boat coming. Very efficient service. Ferry was 11 km west from Rouen.Ended up here purely by chance, La Bouille.

Then after a few switchbacks and more odd housing estates a long drag up A151 and across on A29. Think my Waze had random diversion setting on yesterday url]|https://thumbsnap.com/Z1n7p3Ux
Not sure which ferry crossing it was?
