Please be aware...in true French fashion, the rules have changed....no 'velo' inside the circuit!
Despite the signs saying powered velo are excluded, they have chosen to exclude all 'velo' ......
Bar stewards....my legs ache!
In true ACO fashion that depends on which official you encounter, there were a fair few bikes being ridden aroundDespite the signs saying powered velo are excluded, they have chosen to exclude all 'velo' ......

So the Hyper/LMDH cars are c 5 seconds a lap slower than last years pole, or are we expecting huge improvements in qualifying?
Or maybe a better comparison would be the end of day 2 testing last year? Day 2 test 2022 fastest 3:29.896
Day 2 test 2023 fastest 3:29.504
So 3 1/10ths quicker at the same point in the event than last year, obviously a whole load of variables there track temperature was 37.9 last year vs 28.3 this year etc

We've only had 1 session of running, which is more about making sure everything's working and getting drivers eyes in as anything, and on a track that has seen more chewing gum than race rubber layed down on it in the last 51 weeks - so yes, we will see improvements, but probably not huge ones over last year's pole time and certainly nowhere near the TS050's 3.14.791 from 2021.I'd guess at a second of 2 faster, so a time in the high 3.22s/low 3.23s - though a lot depends how much Ferarri have been sandbagging/built a car to win Le Mans rather than the WEC title, which is where I think Toyota are looking (OK, the ACO are making a big thing about this being the 100th anniversary but long term it will just go down as either "a 6th Le Mans win" for Toyota...or "a first Le Mans win since 1965" for Ferarri. And in the hiistory books it will only go down as 91st LM24).

I wouldn't rule out the French ACO seeing the French Peugeot 9X8 as the winner of the French 24 hours of Le Mans100th anniversary.
I can't help thinking it would need most of the LMH class AND half the LMP2 class to be excluded to get one of those Pugs. to the front!//j17 said:

You know all the top class have been BOP’d last week (after the FIA said it was fixed including Le Mans) and the Toyota have been hit with 36kg ballast I think it was. They’ve all been brought down to Peugeots level, and now Ferrari are fastest giveitfish said:
