Who's on the night boat from Portsmouth to Caen 7th June?
Discussion
I'm on a ferry from Pompey that evening (my birthday!), I assume it's going to Caen but will check when my tickets come through next week. There wiil be a lot of cars on the ferry that will be going to Le Mans if it's anything like previous years. Few beers then few hours kip in the cabin bunk beds ;-)
We're on the Wednesday overnighter & we normally take the scenic route down to Le Mans - only 1 car this year so we're happy to make up a small group.
Normally there would be a whose on what crossing thread - if one isn't up by tomorrow I'll have a go at setting one up.
Update....Ignore the above as actually we're on the Portsmouth-Cherbourg overnighter as we couldn't get a cabin on the Caen boat when we booked - we'll see you all somewhere on the way down hopefully (we normally stop at Sees btw
PS I've sorted a Wiki for the crossings

Sorry I've got no idea how to edit that wiki, doesn't seem to be anywhere to enter any details?Normally there would be a whose on what crossing thread - if one isn't up by tomorrow I'll have a go at setting one up.

I thought there'd be a few going this route, we chose it specifically for taking a scenic route to le mans rather than the schlepp from Calais. Get there Thursday lunch time and catch some qualifying.
We're just 2 of us in my M2C, first timers after covid ruined the last attempt.
Managed to get in PH Blue Nord camping.

MikeN54, there's an "update" button on the who's on what crossing thread & you can copy a line already on the thread & paste it in to the day of your crossing and just amend with your details hopefully! Alternatively send me a PM with the required details & I'll sort it for you...
Our Cherbourg crossing (we will probably see you at Portsmouth waiting to embark) should get in at about 08.00 hrs local time on Thursday so we'll be slightly behind you on the road & an hour further north but will pass Caen & head down towards Sees etc. - last year we joined a group of people from PH following a thread reply & convoyed down the scenic way (including stopping for food) & it was good fun.

OK thanks re wiki, sorted it..
We just changed our ferry to the Cherbourg one, £20 less too and an outside cabin. I didn't spot it before and its a better time, later leave uk and still a nice run down French side.
Will keep on these threads, be good to get in a group on the French side..
