The ACO have sent me a survey to ask about traffic, however it doesn’t seem to take account of those camping.

It asks how you travelled the last few km on race day last year- I didn’t I was there already but that’s not an option.

So I have to invent my means of getting there, how long it took from a non existent location to carry on.

Yep. It was a bit French.

I'm guessing the usual answer is "very, very slowly indeed".

What the silly arses need to do is adjust their rather fine Le Mans City tramway system to dovetail properly with the circuit's facilities. At the moment it just glances one inconvenient corner. Hopeless.

Actually no. I travelled in from a location north of the city (about 30 minutes away) at around 10 am on on raceday last year and was in my parking space in blanc with only about 15 minutes of queuing and that's been my experience for a number of years. This year, with my space in blanc stolen from me by the ACO, who knows what it will be like.....

Indeed. They even made it worse last year by closing the entrance by Tertre Rouge so you had to get the tram all the way to the end.

Also, once the tram was put in the bus service that went from the Cemetery near the main entrance was re-routed so was no longer an option for getting into town.

I'm pretty certain that parking for those who are travelling daily (I'm based 40+ miles NE of the circuit) like me will be chaotic. For the last 20+ years I've parked in Expo with no problems. Now that option is gone. The only option seems to be the airfield - a much longer walk in. Anyone got any better ideas?

I'm assuming therefore that you didn't get any Expo or Panorama (Rouge) parking tickets?

We haven't got any parking either - I am guessing there is going to be an almighty mess in respect of the many people who drive the last few km and it seems like the ACO know it and haven't thought what to do about it unless they open up some parking areas last minute..

Does that mean you can't get to the bar at TR without exiting the circuit by the tram terminus and walking round?

From memory, the pedestrian entry on the south side of TR at the end of the banking was still open. Otherwise you'd have to walk around from the big entrance by the tram terminus.
