I note the drivers parade is 14:00, I presume in the town centre as usual.

Does anyone know what the rest of the schedule entails, such as:

2:30:00 PM - 7:30:00 PM - ACTIVITIE : TRACK OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Is this some sort of track parade laps as per the Classic events?

9:00:00 PM - ACTIVITIE : CENTENARY PARADE

Again, does anyone know if this is full circuit, or just around the pits?

I am sure more will come out nearer the time, just wondering if anyone has more info.

Last year the track being open to the public on the Friday allowed you to walk, jog, run, cycle or e-scooter round the whole track, no cars. You need a general entry ticket to get access, which was checked at two points around the track. Assuming it’ll be the same set up this year.

Last year we did the Classic British Welcome in the morning and “ran” the track after, great fun. smile

Last year it was the full circuit open if I remember correctly.

I've just had the nice man from Royal Mail dop tickets round, which is nice!

I was expecting week long tickets as normal, but instead have 2 day tickets (weds / thurs) plus weekend tickets (sat/sun)..

What does this mean for the Friday? Is it just the walk down pit lane that we can't do, or will we also be shunned from the fan zones etc? It's a real pity because I was looking forward to that.

Meanwhile, it's now utterly clear as mud on when we can do the museum (which looks awesome) - because the ACO site suggests that the weekend ticket includes it "during the weekend", but the 2 day one doesn't (which might mean it's only useful on sat morning or during the race, when it'll presumably be rammed!)

I'm also slightly concerned abut what if we go to the drivers parade in town - will we get the old "non" at the gate when we try to get back in?

Anyone got any ideas?

As Gumpy has discovered, some people seem to have non-Friday tickets (lord knows why) so I assume they will be barred from the somewhat interesting evening parade of winning cars.

Hopefully the ACO haven't given such tickets to anyone camping inside the circuit boundaries, but I'd not put money on that.

Into town for lunch and back to the circuit for the evening seems a good plan for those with the right tickets.

i,ve just looked at the web site, i think it says the pit lane walk about is for those with weekly ticlets only, so looks as if i,ll do the town parade and then come up to the circuit at 9 pm for the parade of cars , assume the weekend ticket will get me into this

Does this mean no pit lane open for walking through on Friday as per previous years frown

They really do seem to have made problems with GE tickets, where none existed before - nothing seems very clear to me?

I think there will be a lot of arguments with security staff on the Friday.

I assume the authorities put a reduce limit on capacity for friday, as most of the attractions are pit lane / village / concert based, rather than whole circuit. So legally allowed less people

Those camped at Porsche curves I assume will be able to view the support races and evening parade laps from there only. I can’t see how they could stop you

Friday Afternoon
That’s a shame. I’ll likely be in the town around midday onwards.
