Hi all. I asked this last year, so thought it only right to ask it again for the 2023 edition.

Last year I took my trusty Mini which was great, but this year I have a dilemma.... Soft top Series III Landy or Mini?

Dad will be coming in his GT6, so I'm thinking the mini may be a better pairing for the drive down?

Love to see pics of what you'll be bringing along!

My 1986 Ford Capri 2.8i Special in Crystal blue metallic. It's currently undergoing a post rebuild shakedown to iron out anything that might lead to a breakdown. I'll be taking it to both the LM24 and the LM24 Classic, a fitting wake up from a ten year slumber in the garage I feel.

Very cool! Do like a wedge!!

Not been to the 24hr before Classic last year was our first time. I've heard the 24hr can be pretty hectic and busy in comparison!!

These...

Not the most 'Classic' of combinations, but the old bones like a cold beer and comfortable bed these days.

I hadn't posed mine because it isn't particularly interesting. But I don't want this thread to die so I am now. Too old to be fast yet too recent to be classic, I present to you a humble 330:

oh I disagree, a E46 (so long as it has a 6 cylinder unit) is a classic.

I bought a series 3 Landy a while back, drove it 2 miles up the road and then sold it, horrible think, couldn’t imagine driving that far in one!
However my first car 42 years ago was a MK2 GT6, I’d love to have another, take the mini smile

She's not too bad to drive! I daily drive the mini so creature comforts aren't an issue for me. Also, on the basis my dad drove a series 2 to India, then back via Africa (crossing the indian ocean on a ship) I can't really complain about going to France in one!

Anyway, it looks like we have a third car joining us which will be a series Landy, so I've made the decision to take the mini so our group has some diversity! keep your eyes peeled for one of the three with its bonnet up somewhere between Portsmouth and Le Mans!!
