Stop on route for late Breakfast
Discussion
I have been going to Le Mans for over 20 years, more recently the Classic and we have always stopped at Gace for a bite to eat. Apparently it was popular with Teams post war and was a favourite stop. Used to see interesting cars and a couple of decent cafes overlooking a nice square, so you could sit outside and watch some interesting Classics driving around. However, in recent years it has become less popular culminating in last year when our usual cafe was closed on the Thursday before the race and there wasn’t another British Car car in sight.
My question is, can anyone recommend a similar stop, two or three hours from Calais that is now more frequented and offers similar facilities. Thanks in advance.

Gace has been moved somewhat off the map since A28 motorway was constructed but I'd have thought it's still as good a place as any to find something to eat. Sees is another possibility. The reality is it's all a bit quiet down that side of France, especially on a weekday morning.
Immediately after Rouen, if you go down the old D438 between A13 and A28 you might find something along there and won't have added any significant time to your journey if you don't. For instance Rendezvous d'Chasse opens 9.00 a.m. Or take your own stuff and picnic in the woods a mile or so further south on the right.
