Just a warning that parking looks much restricted this year. Expo and Panorama (nee Rouge) are all sold out for the weekend. Not much else available apart from Mulsanne/Arnage …

I guessing that Free Parking for the Le Mans Centenary (presume Friday events) will be in the Blanc and Blue areas - so I wonder if that will available for turn up and park over the weekend?

The following is from an email I received from the ACO. It explains why Parking Vert (which I have used for many years) not available this year - along with Parking Bleu and Blanc.

"...Parking areas located within the confines of the circuit, usually allocated to the organisation, teams and media, will be moved off-site. For this reason, the White, Blue and Green parking areas have been reassigned to these users. These three external parking areas will free up a considerable amount of space within the Circuit des 24 Heures which will be used to extend the race village and host new activities and entertainment.

Secondly, the Expo parking area and Expo campsite from 2022 have been joined together for safety reasons. This will now be the Expo parking area only and will consequently increase capacity and help traffic to flow more smoothly during the event. This parking area is now sold out.

We are continuing our policy of offering as many free parking spaces as possible. These will be made available in the following parking areas: Raineries, Rotonde, ActiSud, Etamat, Aérogare and Fresne...."

I see Parking Expo is now sold out, along with what seems like everything else !!

So for the busiest event in 100 years they have decimated the parking. You couldn’t make it up :-(

You can't have all these media types having to walk long distances!!

They have also decimated the Bleu Nord public camping areas (see the other threads on LM24) & caused many headaches for certain travel operators - It's an utter shambles & causing much consternation. I reckon they'll do the same for the Classic frown

Almost certainly not. I've parked in Blanc for years and have been told it's definitely not available.

Those lucky few of us in the campsites will need parking as we're so far away

Had to book Mulsanne / Arnage. Have always been in Vert on previous years. As stated by others probably the largest turn out in years and they have decimated the parking available

I'm starting to wonder if it WILL be the busiest event for 10 years. With the clusterfk of camping/parking/grandstands/entry tickets I wonder how many other regulars like me are already at the point of giving it a miss - and if you're a first timer deciding to tick it off your bucket list as it's the 100tth you're going to get the impression it's already fully booked so give up too.

They’ll no doubt come up with a figure that says it was the busiest ever, not that the announced number bears much relation to reality as far as I can see

They'll have to be providing some turn-up and pay parking. I'd be surprised if the locals and French spectators are booking parking ahead.
The car park at the Arnage SuperU will be busy I'm guessing..

So I've got my GE tickets direct from the ACO, but can't get a place to park for love or money. A bit of a gamble to rely on getting into a free parking area on the day, isn't it? I've been sitting in the seats above the pits (L34) for 20 odd years...sold out within hours. Perhaps once the anniversary event is over we can get back to normal! Hopefully this forum will come up with answers about parking soon.

As a suggestion:
A number of the tram stops having parking like University - Alternatively park up at a local station and take train into Le Mans and then tram it in

Despite managing to source Expo parking I can’t help but think it’s going to be chaos as people try to find parking so the above options could make things a lot easier?
