Is the PH private camping sold out already? I'm confused?
Discussion
Planning on going to LM24 for the first time next year and registered interest for the PH private campsite through 1st Tickets.
But now it looks like everything is booked. 1st Tickets say all their camping has gone to existing customers, and I've heard nothing from PH. I've also heard Bleu Nord is shut, which is where PH are, right?
Now I'm worried that if I don't nab camping on the 5th when the general sales happens I'm going to be out of luck? If I wait for PH am I going to miss out as I'm likely already to low in the queue as a new customer?

Pure speculation, but I would imagine Pistonheads are as in the dark as all other operators.
Obviously they have no allocation for their plot in Bleu Nord because there is no camping in Bleu Nord. So I'm guessing they are scrambling for somewhere else.
Or, they are preparing to let an awful lot of people down.
I suppose they are saying nothing because they have nothing to say.

1st tickets suggest all spaces they have are already taken by returning customers? I assume PH would be the same?
As a new customer I don't want to wait for 1st/PH and then miss out.
Where have you seen confirmation the PH site on Bleu Nord continues? The ACO site says this is now entirely parking.

If 1st Tickets are saying to the OP that they are over subscribed, I guess it's an indication that unless you have a deposit already down with them that it's unlikely they have current capacity unfortunately. I'm sure if they can accommodate any further new interest they will do so as they are a good operator from my 8 yrs experience of using them for LM24.

The PH site on BN is going to go ahead in exactly the same spot as normal but the rest of BN is closed to camping.
1st Tickets are going to send out an email soon regarding options for those on the waiting list once they have clarity from the ACO.

Everything from the ACO and other sources (JT+M for one) state no camping in Bleu at all.
For clarity, I have no dog in this fight, but I feel for all those PHers waiting for news.

Sorry only quoting what I've heard from the most reputable source I know on these matters. Hopefully @Ben Lowden will be along with an official statement.Everything from the ACO and other sources (JT+M for one) state no camping in Bleu at all.

The fact is that all official agencies are massively over subscribed and are doing their best to get as much allocation as they can from the ACO.
Thought private sites were covered by medium term agreements for a specific area with a specific set/number of toilets and showers etc and also particular size marquees all set up by ACO - so not easy to shift by ACO, unlike all the camping bits they sell direct as well as through agents.
Based on that would know capacity for private sites in advance, but not the ACO type public pitches they also sell. So would assume it's in same place as so was surprised all 'other' Bleu camping pushed away for non-spectator parking

From 1st Tickets this morning. Summary: *19th December*, but sounds like the numbers are low and if you aren't high up the list you are out of luck.
You are receiving this email as you have registered with us for the 1st Tickets/PistonHeads private camping at the 2023 Le Mans 24 Hours
Yesterday, the circuit officially announced some significant changes to the camping and parking areas at the circuit for the centenary event (click here for full information). These changes aim to improve the fan and village areas and reduce vehicle traffic within the circuit, but also have an impact on our ticket allocation and our private campsite.
As a result, the Bleu Nord, Bleu Sud and Expo areas will not be used for public camping and the Houx campsite is significantly reduced with the removal of non-numbered pitches. Parking areas are also impacted with the Bleu, Blanc and Vert parking (inside the circuit) being repurposed for the organisation (ACO), media and teams parking. being closed.
Despite these campsite changes, the ACO have informed us that our 1st Tickets/PistonHeads private campsite will remain on Bleu Nord.
The circuit have added two extra campsites and are looking to add more new camping areas shortly. The Expo parking area is extended (using the camping area) and free parking will still be available slightly further away from the circuit.
Following these changes our revised ticket allocation is, unfortunately, less than expected and with significant gaps created by the campsite closures.
This has a knock-on effect to our private campsite, as we need to establish an alternative block of camping spaces for those customers who are unable to secure a space on the private campsite.
Please note: Due to extremely high demand for tickets and the camping changes at the circuit, we are heavily oversubscribed for the Centenary. Our private campsite alone is now more than five times oversubscribed with only a finite amount of space.
As a result, we are delaying the opening of our private campsite ticket sales for a further two weeks until at least the 19th December. This should give us time to be able to offer a small selection of public campsites as part of the PistonHeads camping options. Once we are ready to proceed, we will be back in touch with 2023 prices, information on how to book.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delay in opening for bookings and the changes to camping & parking at the circuit.
Kind regards
Brian Sheehan

It is all starting to sound like a total screw up by the ACO. I hope they don’t regret making these changes. The fans just want affordable food & beer, plus somewhere close and safe to camp. It feels like they are moving big time into the corporate hospitality end of the business and locking away the real fans.
Why are there no grandstands left?
Why are there no full week tickets left?
Why is the camping 4 miles from the entrance?
Where are the day trippers going to park?

Looks like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Can't blame 1st Tickets as they only have the information the organisers have given them.
I haven't been before but have a deposit and tickets (grandstand but refundable) through 1st Tickets but can't imagine I'll be in the first fifth of people on the waiting list (added to that I'm not a previous customer).
I never received an email from them when tickets went on sale and I only got in contact when I spotted activity on here.
I wonder if there are Download tickets still available 😂

1st Tickets have sent email out updating on the situation.
We've received the 1st Tickets email as well. The wording should give some hope to those who've registered interest as it does say they are looking at other public camping options for those who enquired about the private campsite, albeit it'll not be the same as their main site.I can imagine the small hotel owners within a 20-30 minute drive of the circuit are going to start seeing a big increase in enquiries as people look to find off-site alternatives.
I've also not yet heard from 1st Tickets - and they've had deposits for 19 people off me, some of the group are staying in the pistonheads camping - and we'd requested space for the kids (well they were once) camping in Bleu Nord somewhere outside the fence but within view of the parents inside.
