ACO membership week ticket sold out
Discussion
Heya, so after many years watching the race and not being able to attend, I am heading there for the first time with my dad next year.
Unfortunaly I've missed out on the private campsites, so I am booking everything myself rather than going through an operator.
I have purchased an ACO membership to try and get tickets and a public site pitch when they are released. However the website states the week tickets are sold out, I take this is the early price and more will be released at a later date?
Also is there a time the campsites are released on Tuesday?
I'm already getting hyped just booking it!

I think only early bird tickets have been released and sold out. There is a further release at full price scheduled for 1st march. They’ve never sold out early before, which I suspect is why they have not seen the obvious thing and released the full price tickets now.
At least I hope that’s it!

From what I can see, there are 15000 full-week tickets, 10000 of them in the early-bird sale which are now sold out. So now instead we have to buy a weekend ticket and a Thursday ticket. This costs about £40 extra in total and won't get us into the pitwalk on Friday - only full-week tickets are allowed in there.
What a joke. I didn't know any of this until yesterday and I've been going for years and am a planning obsessive. Cheesed off doesn't begin to cover it.

So if 15,000 full week tickets were available and 10,000 were early bird (i.e. lower price). If the 5000 non early bird tickets haven't been sold yet and will be released in March, why as a ACO member can I not buy my 2 member priced tickets now as it's the same price all year? Surely members should be able to buy their 2 member only admission tickets at anytime, seeming they've paid to be a member for the last 4 years, 2 of which were screwed by Covid! The membership card in my wallet is getting to be an expensive piece of worthless plastic!!!
I've bought the 2 day practice and race weekend ticket on the site today so at least I have that covered, but obviously miss the friday events.
I'll see when they release the next batch of full week tickets, what what the cost is and hopefully get a refund for those purchased today.
What a mess

In the same boat, had to get practice + race days ticket. Have a camping pitch too though, Beausejour because that was all that was left when I eventually got through.
What happens to me on Friday then? You can’t buy access for that day only, are they going to kick me out?
What a shambles.

You don’t need a race ticket to be in the BSJ campsite though do you? What happens to me on Friday then? You can’t buy access for that day only, are they going to kick me out?

it says if you have a weekly ticket you have access to the pit lane on friday, i,ve just checked as I was a little concerned myself
roger
There is a new ticket that excludes Monday and Friday which implies you can’t get to the pit lane on Friday with that ticket. A normal weekly ticket you canroger

For Sale: 1 x 2 Days + Weekend General Admission – Race Ticket, face value €56
Due to yesterday's fun, games and full benefit of blood pressure meds and FULL WEEK TICKETS BECOMING AVAILABLE AGAIN TODAY, I have the above ticket for sale at face value and suspect a few others do too!
Please note: The two days are Wed & Thu and the race being Sat & Sun that may be an issue for entry to circuit, or even back into campsite if you head out on Friday? This is just gratuitous advice, maybe some others can advise on reality or workarounds, I just want to be fully transparent.
Can email ticket to buyer after bank transfer and/or meet on Wednesday overnight ferry from Portsmouth.
Regards
Steve
