With the Classic imminent I wanted to check in the dress code requirement as I’ve heard mixed things from those that have been before. My understanding is there is a dress code for the paddock but I have also been told it is not enforced and it doesn’t matter. What should I be following? A couple of people in the group heading down have zero smart clothes (that’s tech for you).

They like to have a dress code but I don’t think they enforce and it’s usually very hot so I don’t think they bother that much

Paddocks pretty much the same as stands and bars and trade areas

I didn’t want to fall foul of the fashion police so took my lad up Tescos last night and got some smart shorts and a polo shirt. The rest of the time I’ll be in tired shorts, rugby shirts or a Seahawks jerseys, so thought it better to make an effort for the day we wander the paddock.

I've never seen any enforcement, but pretty much everyone is more smartly dressed than at a usual race meet.

You'd look out of place in sweat pants and a football shirt for example.

Jeans and a shirt with a collar is more than enough.

Looking at the official dress code page on the website => https://www.lemansclassic.com/en/information/dress... <= just reminds me of....

I just need the long socks to finish off that look. Maybe needs a tennis racket as well.

I have never been stopped with regard to dress code, especially at 2am in the paddock when its still 25 degrees outside. everyone was pretty much in shorts and polo shirts.
