Hi All

We’ll be heading to the classic for the Friday only on the way back from holidays. Looking forward to it immensely as has been ‘on the list’ for a number of years.

We’ve got our entry tickets sorted thanks to some guidance from here (thanks!) but look to have left it too late for parking as this looks sold out.

Having read seemingly dozens of posts now I’m getting a bit baffled as to any ‘must see’ things to look out for. Appreciating we’re only going to get a taste of the event which is fine and looking forward to looking round the cars and traders as much as anything - Will be with wife (and dog) so no pits for us.

That said, Id value any recommendations for a first timer to see - Le Mans village, any particular places on the course?

Whilst I’m sure we’ll work it out - Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated!

The Group C racing is a must, a nice sit down meal at Del Arte on the Mulsanne straight, the museum

Group C recommended also.

Definitely get into the paddocks and have a good nose around the cars. Absolutely brilliant selection of machinery throughout motorsport history and the noise as they set off to the track all in line is fantastic.

Enjoy! You’re in for a real treat thumbup

Make sure you watch some action when it is dark.

There's plenty of time over the weekend, so just stroll around the track and see what you find.

We are visiting on the Sunday as we are on a French road trip and thought it would be great to call in.

Any idea where you are going to park? I've been having a look too and seen that the parking is sold out (apart from Mulsanne/Arnage). I'm wondering if its best to park in town and get the tram in. That or try the old Museum carpark trick!

If you can't get a circuit parking pass then I'd probably say parking in town and get the tram's your best option.

That said worth checking if the free buses the run for the 24hrs also run for the Classic. I'd imagine they would, which gives you the option of grabbing an Arnage parking pass and leaving the car there/getting the bus to/from the Village. Gives you a good get-away point to the south too as you're not fighting everyone to get away from the main car/camping sites or onto the tram back into town.

I’ve just had a look on the Zenbus website. Seems to me that it’s just the 24h event unfortunately so we might stop by Arnage on the way in, and then park in town.

You can park on street, up by the hospital for Tete Rouge or behind the expo centre for the main gate.
