Late arrival at the classic
Discussion
Unfortunately we've ended up on the Friday 14:45 Portsmouth Cean ferry which docks at 21:30. I guess this means we'll get to our camp site, Epinettes, at between midnight a and 01:00.
Can someone confirm we'll still be able to get on the site this late.
Question 2 is as we'll not be able to shop on the way down can you access the shops nearby but the wrong side of the D338. I intend to take some food but with the restrictions on taking fresh stuff over my options are limited.

All camp sites are open 24/24 so no problems getting in although pitching in the dark (and finding your place) might be a problem. As regards food, I have had friends here yesterday and there caravan was stocked with meat and dairy products. The customs didn't even open the fridge he said. With so many people coming over for the two races they just can't cope and pick out the odd car for a cursory check.
As regards food, there are service stations on the way down where you can buy a few basics and do your shopping in the morning. There is a new Auchan on the Mulsanne straight behind Family Village. To get to it you need to go under the bridge at Tertre Rouge.
