Any tips for figuring out where to go without wasting miles going nowhere?! Arrived today (first time!) and it's kinda overwhelming. I've not found a decent pedestrian map.

I'm based on the inside of Porsche Curves which has a great viewing spot about 3 minutes walk from my tent, but I have a T34 ticket so I'm planning to head there a few times, and would like to visit the Dunlop Bridge area etc.

assuming you are in Basejour

Nothing for it but to walk the most direct route up Chemin aux Boeufs to Karting then through the support paddock and bob's your uncle, you are at the back of the paddock and T34 above the pits

or get the shuttle bus if you can get your timing right.

walk takes 15 mins from TD porsche curves, so 12 or so from Basejour

Walk up to Dunlop bridge, view from either inside or outside of the track, also top of the village you can get to the inside of the first turn at the pit exit (GREAT NOISE) then on up to chapelle or go back to the outside at Tertre Rouge...

You can sit in any of the grandstands free until Saturday, so go and watch some practise at other places. Would recommend the grandstand next to the Dunlop Bridge. Panorama I think?

On Saturday night I would go and watch a few hours at Arnage and Mulsanne, especially Arnage.

If you’ve got a car then get out on the Friday morning and visit the Great British Welcome in St. Saturnin. Lots of cars and always worth an hour or two.

A visit to the city centre for the drivers parade on Friday afternoon is busy but worth it on your first visit. Stand close to Place St Pierre for the bars and restaurants afterwards.

Too much to list!

I'm in Lycian Village on the Curves. That's awesome thanks, had no idea it would be that quick.

Does anyone know if you can get to the outside of the Porsche Curves from Beausejour (on foot)? I'm thinking via the D92 road bridge under the circuit and presumably a short distance along the D139. I'm in the inside and can see an area over there with what appears to be public access. I have a few photos ideas but don't want the slog in the heat if it's wasted effort!

The official map doesn't show anything, but I've generally found that a waste of time for figuring out where to get about on foot anyway.

That used to be a public viewing area, but it’s private now

Was my first year this year and loved it a lot of walking. Wanted to go Arnarge and Mulsanne but the bus line was too long and didn't want to waste time waiting. Next time I go cheap bike it is to get around.

For the first time this year, I took my Brompton folding bike. Worth its weight in gold for reducing the foot-sloggery.

Here it is at the new improved (absolutely ruined) Tertre Rouge bar
