Weather Forecast

I thought I would start a weather forecast thread.

I seem to remember a few years ago the weather forecast being determined by a cat and how it walked into a tent. I hope I've remembered that correctly!

Anyone else remember or was it a drunken dream?

I haven't been since 2016 but based on the previous 35 years it will:

- be hot
- be cold
- be extremely wet
- be windy
- be extremely hot
- be frosty at night

..and on the second day you're there...........

It is with great sadness to let you all know that "The Cat" is no more, she went on her way back in May 2021. She had a great 20 year life and her weather predicting talents were well known on this forum, now we are at the vagaries of the weather forecasters who are all rubbish compared to "The Cat"

Thanks RobbyJ now that’s funny you should mention that we’re not getting a cat just yet but there is a black cat appeared in our garden in the last few months that does show potential so I will keep you posted ……..

Sorry to hear about the cat. Would volunteer mine for the task, but he's just had a formal written warning from the slightly deranged neighbour



To make matters works - he then got warned very badly on Facebook!



Other than that - he's quite good at weather prediction!

Although it would make our trip this year even better with good weather, having not been since 2019, the weather seems almost academic!! - we'll be prepared for all eventualities, but if anyone has a spare "pussy" willing to show favourable tendencies to illustrate the forecast please step forward

Sorry to hear that. What a legacy she "The Cat" left. Im glad it wasn't a drunken dream. Still makes me smile thinking about the forecasts!

The car we are getting to le mans has yet unproven air con abilities...no doubt air con will not work after recharge which sods law surely points to being odds on for a hot one.

Close enough now for the 14 day forecasts.

Any local websites more accurate than the generic ones?
Looking good so far but unlike the cat, usually a complete work of fiction.

Looks generally dry in the run-up and over the weekend, which is all I really care about.

Don't have the luxury of Speedchills private camping these days, so nobody paying the toilet syphoning company to hover/shooting out to buy pumps and hoses to drain the lake that was Bleu Sud one year.
