there will be public technical control... bur prior to the test day which will be public. there will be a pitwalk... circuit closed from wed to sun so mad Friday will just happen somewhere else... one of the board members said there would be a drivers' parade too

The trouble with 'mad' friday is that there are a few that feel like they have to be complete bloody idiots because of the 'mad' tag. Throwing bottles at cars and the general mayhem won't be missed. It's not a riot.

Now, a well organised run-what-you-brung between the two chicanes with public behind the safety curtain would be fun.....imagine the amount of bent metal we would see from those that overestimate their underwhelming capabilities

Hi. The circuit will shut lunchtime Wednesday, and Friday's "Trackside entertainment" probably means it won't reopen properly till Sunday evening. Too much crap has been left on the track in the past, plus ruts in the verge. Nothing much is being announced yet in case they have to cancel

And Monday is a bank holiday (everything shuts) so may not be the best time to arrive, especially if they nick all your bacon, steak, cheese, milk etc at Calais
