Le Mans Coach Trip from UK
Discussion
I know it's not typically the done thing around these parts, but circumstances mean that a coach tour is by far the best option for me this year (I should also say I've never been before!)
Has anyone done one of these from the UK, and if so, who have you used?
Select Motor Racing look to offer everything I need (mainly that you can stay overnight at the circuit and rest on the nearby coach if required) but I'm having trouble getting hold of them. Leger also appear to be an option, although I'd rather a slightly longer trip they offer so I can attend some of the other stuff over the extended weekend.

When I first started going to Le Mans in 2003 I used Motor Racing International www.motorracinginternational.uk.com
They did a coach tour which started in Scotland and made its way towards Dover picking up passengers along the way. We got on at Oxford and crossed the channel on the late ferry before driving through the night and arriving at Le Mans early on race day morning. Approx 1 hour after the race, you bundle back on board and head home.
It was basic but hassle free and a good way to get to the race. I did a couple of other routes which involved a night in Paris or a longer ferry crossing with a cabin for the night.
What was nice was that you got to meet other like minded race fans. It was also a good way to get familiar with Le Mans.

We've used Kevin from Select on several occasions for the coach out to Arnage and Mulsanne on a Saturday evening, when we join up with those booked on his wider trip from the UK. He's a decent guy, knows his stuff and customer experience is his sole focus. Everyone I've ever spoken to on board the coach only had decent things to say about the set up, the only exception being journey time compared with independent travel, but that goes with the territory. I see that SMR are advertising again for this year's trip from the UK, as well as the circuit tour. Have you tried making contact via Insta or FB?I did finally hear from him but I waited so long I lost confidence to be honest, I did try social media DMs as well as email.
Anyhow, a single tent came up (cancelled booking) with Lycian and they sorted me out with tickets, ferry crossing etc within about an hour of me sending my requirements, so I'm now driving over. Great service from them, looking forward to it!
