Hello to everyone,

looking at my countdown app I realized it is only 19 days till our Grand Depard.

I never really introduced myself on this forum. I live in Holland about a 45 minute drive north of Amsterdam. I am new to this forum but not to Le mans, my first visit was in in 2006 or 2007 can't rember and haven't missed a race since.

I thought it was time for a positive threat and not about covid.... I am starting to think it will happen so this weekend my prepwork will strart.

After al these I have my list and know what gear to get ready, but is it spreadout, always nice to have family with a lot of space to store gear.

So on my to list is shopping for a new chair and other groceries, picking up the trailer and teams bikes, teststarting the generator, picking up the main tent and fridge.

I can not whait to go...

Who is also getting ready to go...?

I need to start prepping on not attending and watching from home.

Still got the week booked off on holiday, so need to come up with a plan on making the most of the time rather than sitting around in my pants waiting for Radio Le Mans to start broadcasting.

Anyone know if any of the support events are streaming their sessions?

My green card arrived today.
Need to fit a new vacuum advance unit to the TVR which arrived yesterday.
Decision will be made on Monday whether I go or not....but I'm hopeful smile

Didn’t think that you needed a green card now.

My insurers thought I did and didn't charge for it so I didn't argue

The Covid app has both QR codes scanned, check.
All hotels booked, train to be booked next week once traffic light system confirmed for fellow travellers, check.
Car MOT sorted, check.
Stickers used for last year can be used, so that’s all good, check.
Will confirm tickets next week, check.

And here is the big one. My wedding anniversary is Tuesday of Le Mans week, so have to keep wife sweet, managed that, so all is good.

Be good to see more people than last year, was a tad quiet.

What are people's plans to deal with needing multiple PCR tests in order to get into the track?

I stand to be corrected but I thought double vax meant you didn't need PCR?

I thought you still needed PCR for access to the track, rather than the country, but it seems from another thread that that may not be the case.

See below from the ACO website.
I’ve managed to upload my UK vaccine certificate to the TousAntiCovid app, which generates a QR code, although it does have a message underneath saying that the authenticity of the NHS certificate does not comply with EU standards???!

HEALTH PASS FOR FOREIGN VISITORS
Which international methods will you accept, to prove Covid vaccination? The TousAntiCovid app is for French citizens only.
From 21 June, the French government states that it will be possible for those with a foreign vaccine or test certificate to convert it into an EU format so it can be scanned into the TousAntiCovid app. The process for doing this has not yet been clarified.

Good spot, I’d not noticed that. Saw that it had uploaded a QR and pulled in my name, date of vaccination and the vaccine name. Best keep an eye on this as I’d stopped worrying about the PCR lark.

I think it will happen and I need time to get all of the gear together and checked, before we leave.

I have some final shopping to do, but most of the camping gear is ready to go. Unfortunately no stickers this year, I didn't order any.

Only 13 days till departure..

I've spent all my time so far trying to work my way around the Covid restrictions and rules. I then realised my son's passport had expired so spent pretty much a whole day refreshing the passport appointments site and managed to land an appointment this morning. So passport sorted, 'current' Covid rules understood, now I can think about happy things like packing gear.

No glamping this year, arrive late on Friday, chuck out tent, sleep, watch race and go home. A very different experience to the usual one but still can't wait.

All sorted. Day2 test booked to arrive day after we return, £55. The PCR for return to UK is 49€ which we’ll probably do at the zoo at La Flèche, easiest for us to get to. Lodging is confirmed, train confirmed and I also got credit note for unused crossing from last year which they said I couldn’t get last year due to their terms and conditions. So anyone in same boat, ring them up and complain, I got £135 out of them today. Also returned the ticket booking credit note from last year with amendments for two unable to travel. And the best bit, the TousCovid app showed the NHS QR code is now accepted so circuit entry is sorted.

All in, a good day!

Heard a nasty rumour that the cat has been “pinged” and is in quarantine!
