So it looks like that's where we are headed!

I gather that the plots are marked out. Are they numbered and do ACO normally issue plot numbers on the tickets? might be an issue as we have tickets bought by different people...

Any plus's over BSJ?

Normally its marked out and tickets numbered, but I wonder if they'll bother, as it means they'll have to have people to show you where to go etc.

Blue Nord is behind the Ford chicane, so a lot closer to the stands

I'm not an ACO member and bought my ticket on the official site. It was delivered as an eticket and IS numbered. For example mine says RANG: G Place:19 (letter and number changed).

Is that camping or parking though?

I only camped at Blue Nord ones, many years ago.

I can still hear helicopters flying over.

Any pointers on what a good place is, also considering water when it rains (I must be a Dutch thing to wurrie about that wink )

Bleu Nord is normally numbered/assigned pitches so you don't get much choice - though we aren't in normal times so who knows what you'll find when you turn up!

Nord is all much of a much-ness, though the pitches on the left of the main entry road get some tree shade I think. The main definition of "a good spot" in Nord is "Not next to a group seemingly just there to play dance music at full volume and only see 10min of racing at the start/10min at the end".

I think Nord gets a bad rep. However, it does seem to attract the Sunday night nutters more than most. It slopes but seldom floods, just be wary that it's generally fairly easy for scrotes to get onsite and take things, even with the new "barriers". Security reputation used to be almost the worst of the lot so keep it locked down!

I've been a regular on BN in the last 12 years (except last year, of course) and I can only recommend: Watch your stuff! We had several small items (phones and such) nicked from tents, but they never broke into one of our cars, so it's best to lock your valuables in your car. Other than that the place is fine. Even during heavy rain we never had big problems with puddles and the party noise was not worse than on all other places I've stayed since 1985. Very convenient for quick access to Maison Blanche, the Ford chicane and the start-finish straight. Loos and hot showers have been available in the past and were usually kept clean.
