Gutted to see the Hull - Zeebrugge ferry has been pulled and will not be returning. That was always our preferred crossing and when travelling from Scotland, was a good fit.

Looks like any future LM trips will now involve a long drive through the UK on bks roads cry

On the bright side, your chances of having your car stolen just went down significantly.

How does someone nick a car on a ferry?

There's still Newcastle to Ijmuiden and Hull to Rotterdam crossings, the former being far better for anyone crossing from Scotland

we have been using it for years 2 crossing's a year as said before the drive to Dover was a nightmare and we had to stay in a hotel in Dover each way, they still owe us for two ferry crossing and meals from 2020 May and September we hope they will honor them as this year does not look to promising.

I have just checked with P&O ferries and they are still operating Hull to Rotterdam it just means a longer drive to France but a lot better than the drive to Dover

When I lived in Hull, you had to drive through Hull to get to the ferry.

It's a city not unfamiliar with car jacking.

It’s a long drive from Zeebrugge to Le Mans; going further on to Rotterdam is too much, particularly getting back up on the Monday for the teatime sailing..

Portsmouth St Malo looking more favourable.

Still bks though (need wee nippy Sturgeon to subsidise the ferry out of Rosyth again)...

I reckon 8 hours - a long drive but not impossible. I usually leave LM on Sunday and head for +/- Lille for a night. This gives me most of Monday to explore the surrounding battlefields and amble over for the Monday teatime boat.

our last stop is 2 nights each trip in Albert to to visit the battlefields and only 140 miles to Zeebrugge but it would be to far for us to Rotterdam in and old Cortina

We did Rotterdam one year when the Zeebrugge ferry was getting fixed. It is possible, but did mean a very early dash Monday morning and a bit longer on the road overall. Not something I think we’ll be contemplating to be honest.

A shame, we had some great nights on there.

Good news just had an e-mail from P&O to say that we will get a full refund for our 2 sailings May and September as they cannot fulfil their contract having cancelled the service. Cheers P&O
