I decided next year to do both events as they are only a week apart.
However, having had my weekend away in Brackley watching Le Mans with a mate of mine I've realised I can't really last more than 5 days drinking alcohol, smoking fags, fried breakfasts, not being nagged at etc. So I need to do N24 as an event on its own, ideally at least a couple of weeks away from Le Mans.

Looking at the next couple of years there seems to be a mission by N24 to clash with Le Mans, why I just don't understand. Anyone know if this is permanent or a temporary situation?
I guess if this is the way of life moving forward I can fly and hire a car - long weekend. Want to take in the Sinsheim Museum as part of whatever trip we do. Le Mans is always going to be the big road trip / priority

There's only a certain number of summer weekends, even less if events are trying to avoid clashes with F1 races.

Also, LM and the N24 are aiming to run around the period with the least night-time hours.

I didn't think about the daylight hours thing, that makes perfect sense.
I think in light of this I'm going to go in 2022, looking at the dates (waiting for LM To publish dates) they will be a week apart.
I'll fly to Germany Thu night, do Sinsheim Friday morning, then 3 hr drive to N24, Sat to Sun eve stay for the race, night at airport, fly home early Mon morning

I think the N24 often ties in with a religious public holiday, Ascention Day maybe, the holiday moves around the calendar, so does the race.
