As suggested by Mstrbkr. A thread for people who are confirmed going assuming it definitely happens

Bonjour. GA ticket - private camping.

My double figures group this year is just 3 of us - me and my mate both regulars, and a moto 24 fan who can't get into this year's moto 24 so thought he'd tag along for the ride

Simply the best thing of this year, really cannot wait. Just want to hear, see, smell ... Le Mans...

I still plan to, just waiting on the ACO.

I had a call regarding my "zone" and had the offer of the following;

1. Go this year and be in the Bleu Zone
2. Defer for next year
3. Full refund

I've chosen option 3. However I am still travelling via the tunnel to the Somme and Ypres so will no doubt see some of you on the way.

A positive thread at last! laugh
I’ll be there. The excitement is already building! Even keeping the Saturday overnight ferry booking and doing the first three nights in a b&b just South if the circuit. That way we can still get out on the bikes (push not motor) and hit the local bars in the days before the campsite opens. smile

Road or Mtb. Got some good routes south of Le Mans

Interesting, who called you? I presume you already had camping in bleu, did you have grandstands as well?

Thanks

Looking forward to it as always, especially as this year's Sebring, Portimao and Spa 24 plans have gone for a Burton. The 'villages' makes very little difference to my plans, opening the campsite 4 days late makes a much bigger difference but it's an opportunity to do other things for a few days. Nil desperandum.

Most of my lit are going, so we’ll be 16 strong in GV. We always arrive on wedding anyway, so no stress there and in all I’m just glad it’s on and the ACO are making such a huge effort.

Can’t bloody wait, and as for ‘villages’, it will be what it will be but I’ll be there

Count me in 😁
I've received a mail from my ticket company saying we should know which village we're in after 17th August but to be honest I don't really care as long as I'm there!

Only 2 of us so will be a more relaxed vibe. Probably watch more racing, follow more intently, better meals on the BBQ. Really looking forward to journey now and all the action on track for 4 solid days

Only 2 of us on TR this year (usually 6-8); hoping our village boundary will extend from the Dunlop bridge down to Tertre Rouge as a minimum. I'm guessing that this 'red' zone will also be the main one assigned to many of the non-camping GA holders, given its proximity to circuit entrances.
Still very much looking forward to it despite the various constraints that will be necessary.

Road. Have done a bit around there, but will be nice to see some more of the surrounding areas.
Really looking forward to seeing how the event plays out this year.

Of our usual group of 10, there's 2 of us going for the full "week", with another 2 just doing 3 nights. Staying off site, parking Blanc, also got parking Mulsanne/Arnage, so no idea what village we might get assigned. Don't care. Just being able to sit drinking a cold beer with mates and watching some racing is enough for me.

I think there is about ten of us going. Planning to make the best of it.

Assuming we will be able to get out to buy beer and hopefully have our average meal on Sat night.

I’m in.

I don’t know whether it will be a solo trip or with my dad. The Covid risk makes him a bit vulnerable. It will be assessed as we get nearer the time. Everything booked.

I’m committed regardless (unless travel is ridiculous with Covid risk, but likely travel would be stopped if that bad).

Just worried about local ferry arrangements. Hopeful for Thursday - Monday trip. However, poised for last minute flights to France and hire a car.

The trip has very much veered towards the social side of things anyway, so if the restricted viewing means less track time, it’s not so much an issue. Going with my dad, the days of 24hr trackside are gone and too be honest I’m pleased!

If it goes to plan there will be a stay in the Loire valley Thursday night, with some very nice food. Sight seeing Friday morning and head up to usual village with an airbnb. Come and go from the circuit over the sat/sun. Plenty of nice food and wine and just enjoy the French culture.

I just want to be there. I think it will certainly be a year for the history books of saying ‘i was there’.

Currently all 7 of us are still going, however with Grandstand seats in the Panorma stand up by Dunlop bridge, 2 parking spaces in Expo and camping in Beausejour I have no idea what zone we will be in and whether the zone will affect our decision to go or not.

I'll be going, though unsure what village I'll get. Camping in Bleu Sud, which the map suggests is 'white', but Dunlop grandstand booked. One view would say my grandstand will get changed - but to get to the MB entrance I'll still need to go to the campsite exit, merge in with the people coming out of the 'blue' Bleu Nord campsite and walk along the road with them...
